About me graham makes

Full-stack principal engineer building software utilities, exploring SEO/GEO, and occasionally making music.

Where

I live in Seattle, Washington, after having spent several years in Denver and NYC.

Before that, I was in Philadelphia where I graduated summa cum laude from Penn with a degree in Science, Technology, and Society. It's a small program that explores science and technology through the people and systems they affect. That education fundamentally shaped the ways I think about and interact with the world.

What

I'm an engineer, mentor, and leader with broad experience understanding, communicating, and solving business problems with technology. I'm passionate about improving lives and outcomes with resilient systems and processes that scale.

My work spans system design and architecture, full-stack product development, performance and observability, go-to-market strategy, and SEO/GEO optimization. I've built and scaled multi-tenant ecommerce systems, led high-velocity engineering teams, and consulted on architecture across organizations of all sizes.

On the technical side, I work primarily with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js, though I'm also comfortable with Python, AWS, Terraform, and edge AI/ML tools like PyTorch and Ollama.

Beyond Code

I'm deeply interested in embedded systems and hardware hacking, generative AI and edge computing, ecology and regenerative land use, urbanism and the built environment, and music production and audio technology.

I play eight musical instruments and I'm always looking for more to learn. Aside from writing and performing music, I love spending time outdoors, cooking, and reading.
